overweight A condition defined as ≥ 75th percentile of body-mass index [weight in kg/(height in m)]. Overweight adults are at increased risk for coronary heart disease, stroke, arthritis, degenerative joint disease, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, gallbladder disease, gout, hypertension, colorectal and other cancers.
